LILITH
From the opening
i twist off
squeeze out
my wrinkled reptilian skin
moulting
i re-create my larva
moist & glistening
in my precision
spiralling in the dark
subterranean warmth
drawing energy from wind
water moon
[she too, sheds her shadow]
until my metamorphosis
complete
- its medicine strong
